Dear Illinois FBLA,
Greetings! I hope all of you are doing well and staying safe during these out-of-the-ordinary times. My name is Grace Park and I am beyond honored to be serving as your 2021-2022 State President. To all the advisers, students, and members involved with Illinois FBLA, I send my warmest regards and cannot wait for all the exciting things we have in store this school year!
Our State Officer Team had the pleasure to meet in person this summer at Springfield and attended both ICCCTSO and SLW. The Illinois Coordinating Council for Career and Technical Student Organizations held a multitude of leadership workshops and offered opportunities for our officers to network with other CTSO leaders. Through this, we learned an abundance of important skills so that we can serve our members to the best of our capabilities.
Afterward, we held our State Leadership Workshop and welcomed chapters from all over Illinois to participate in a series of invigorating activities, sessions, and even a mock election. Members had the opportunity to create connections, work on their chapter’s Program of Work (POW), and left the workshop feeling prepared and excited to kick off their FBLA year.
Currently, the State Officer Team is polishing up our POW while preparing for our September Executive Meeting, where we’ll plan out this year’s State Leadership Conference. Your officers and I are incredibly grateful for a phenomenal summer experience and will work our hardest to guarantee an incredible experience for you all.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to our officer team if you have any questions, comments, or concerns regarding Illinois FBLA. We are here for you and will be more than happy to assist with your FBLA experience. Additionally, don’t forget to check us out on the virtual world; use our social media accounts (@illinoisfbla) to receive reminders, updates, and much more!
Success Starts Here, Illinois FBLA. Our community is full of driven, inspired, and confident leaders, and I’m rooting for each and everyone of you to step outside of your comfort zones and be open to challenges and new experiences. I look forward to working alongside you and let’s keep our heads up for another great year!
Cheers,
Grace Park
