Illinois FBLA is looking for an announcer (1 of 2) for our State Leadership Conference General Sessions on April 10-11 at the Crowne Plaza Springfield. The format of the sessions is mostly an awards show format with a lot of recognition of people on stage and the reading of proper names.
Preparation Meeting: April 10, 5 pm to 5:30 pm
Show 1: April 10, 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm
Show 2: April 11, 12 pm to 3:30 pm

About 30 VIP names as well as school names will have audio and phonetic pronunciations available for the announcer to practice in advance.
For on-stage winners, announcer will have sheets a few minutes for a group of 10 names to review before pronouncing live.
Continuous reading of these names without stumbling is ideal even though pronunciation may not be perfect.
The linguistic origins of names are mostly Asian and Anglo American/Western European.
