What's up, FBLA!!
I’m Kavin Ramasamy, and I am super excited to be serving as your 2025-2026 State President! I want to extend the warmest welcome to all of you on behalf of our Team 76! We have so many things in store this year, so make sure to keep an eye out for all our upcoming opportunities for you! Whether you’re a new member to the organization, a returning member, an adviser, a sponsor, or a chapter leader, this year will be filled with great experiences and lifelong memories!
Our theme is “Make Your Mark”, and we hope to see each and every one of you make your own. Whether that’s getting involved with our new statewide initiatives, running for a local, area, or state office, or attending our conferences, remember to seize every opportunity and leave your impact on others. At each chapter, area, state, or even national event, know that it is up to you to make a mark on those around you. Push yourself out of your comfort zone to try new things and develop yourself as a leader in your community. Kendrick Lamar once said there are “gonna be roadblocks, there’s gonna be tribulations but always remember this is a life experience.” Challenges may come your way, but each one is an opportunity to grow and shine. We know you have what it takes to Power Your Future and turn every moment into a success. Our goal is for each of you to create memories, friendships, and achievements that make this your best FBLA experience yet!
And to do that, the state officer team and I are very excited to bring to you a multitude of new programs to help you get involved at the state level. First, we are introducing a networking program called NetworkIt! Now, you have the opportunity to connect with members across the state, completing challenges and earning recognition! Next, we are proud to announce the start of Illinois State Office Councils, providing you the opportunity to work with State officers on initiatives and programs! This is a great opportunity for you to gain some leadership skills and prepare for future leadership positions. Finally, we are announcing the start of a new FBLA Scholarship! We are also continuing our Member of the Month and have new toolkits to help prepare you for the future! Pay close attention to our Instagram for more information and updates, and talk to your adviser if you are interested!
We can’t wait to see all that you’ll accomplish through FBLA this year. Team 76 and I are excited to cheer you on every step of the way!
