Hello Illinois FBLA (aka the best state chapter in the nation!!)
My name is Nikitha Philip and I have the incredible honor to be serving as your 2024-2025 State President! On behalf of all of Team 75, I want to welcome you all to an amazing year of service, education, and progress. Whether you’re a new member to the organization, returning member, adviser, sponsor, or chapter leader, I hope that you all are ecstatic as I am for this membership year.
With our theme “Dare to Dream. Dare to Lead,” we know that all of you incredible leaders will take the next step in investing in your future. Whether that’s getting involved with our new statewide initiatives, running for a local, area, or state office, or attending our conferences, remember to always dare to dream. As we progress through this membership year, I have a challenge for you: follow your dreams. As former hockey player Wayne Gretzky once said, “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.” Take those shots and shoot for the stars this year. Attend your chapter meetings, network with FBLA members from across the state and country, get involved in state and national programs, and finally, set an example to those who come after you.
The state officer team and I are very excited to bring to you a multitude of new programs to help you get involved at the state level. Introducing a new statewide Member of the Month program to highlight all you’ve done through FBLA, partnerships with FBLA Collegiate, 4 new toolkits to help prepare you for the future, and of course, our Competitive Events Mentorship Program is back and bigger than ever.
This year is our 76th State Leadership Conference, and you are in for a fun ride! With new events, workshops, and of course competitive events, you will have the time of your life this SLC. Team 75 and I are so excited to meet you all over the coming year and can’t wait to see all that you continue to do through FBLA.
