Technology
- CLC classrooms have desktop computers but they may not be close to where student presenters should stand.
- Having presentations and content online (Drive, OneDrive, Youtube, Canva) may be easiest when using the teacher computer.
- Students should watch this demo video on using the classroom technology.
- Presentation clickers (that are brought by the student) are recommended for using CLC computers to narrow the distance in some rooms.
- Sound should be available from the desktop computer, but could require some troubleshooting. Use prep time to test all technology.
- Students should not unplug any cords from the teacher computer. Many classrooms have an hdmi cord and students would have to switch the source, but this is not recommended.
- If students are using sites that require 2-factor authentication to login, phones may be helpful.
- Remember the default format for presentations at State and Nationals is to use your own device--turn it around on a table and let judges see your screen. Any sound out of your device is limited to what the device can output. A power outlet might not be close by. This is a perfectly acceptable way to present and your score will not be affected.
- Remember to remove your presentation clicker usb dongle before leaving the room.
