Zoya Chowdhury

State Reporter

Hello Illinois FBLA! My name is Zoya Chowdhury, and I am so honored to be serving as your 2025–2026 Illinois FBLA State Reporter! I am currently a senior at Carbondale Community High School, where I proudly serve as my chapter’s President. I first joined FBLA as a freshman, and over the past four years this organization has truly helped me grow, find my voice, and discover lifelong friendships.
Outside of FBLA, I stay busy as a Key Club Lieutenant Governor for the Illinois-Eastern Iowa District, Vice President of my school’s Key Club, Student Advisory Co-President, and Math Team Captain. In the past few years I have also been active in research and science fairs, with projects in cellular and molecular biology and deep learning. Most recently, I’ve been working in a physics lab, where I’ve been measuring the specific capacitance of different metal alloys, which is a new and exciting research experience for me.
When I’m not busy with school and FBLA, you can usually find me reading, baking, or hanging out with friends. My favorite FBLA memory so far has been competing at Nationals this past year in Anaheim and getting to meet incredible members from across the country!
I am beyond excited to serve Illinois FBLA this year and cannot wait to see all that we accomplish together!
