Maddie StangState Vice President, Central Northern Area
Hey Illinois FBLA! My name is Maddie Stang, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to serve as your State Vice President from the Central Northern Area. I am currently a senior at Lincoln-Way East High school where I serve as the President of my school’s FBLA chapter. I have been an active member of FBLA for four years, and this organization has shaped my leadership journey and introduced me to some of the most inspiring people I’ve ever met. Outside of FBLA, I stay very involved at my school in a variety of activities that allow me to grow as a leader and give back to my community. I serve as the Vice President of the Little Edisons Club, Secretary of Fem PWR, and am a member of Students Against Destructive Decisions, Joyful Gifts, and the Skiing and Snowboarding Club. Outside of school, I am a black belt in Taekwondo and a 4 year AAU Varsity athlete. I also dedicate time to serving my church community helping teach religious education classes for elementary aged children, something that has been deeply meaningful in my personal growth. My favorite FBLA memory so far is from my freshman year, when I was the only freshman in my chapter to compete at the 2023 State Leadership Conference. That experience gave me the chance to bond with an incredible group of upperclassmen who became not only role models but also lasting friends. When I am not busy with school and extracurriculars, I love to spend time with my family and friends! Some of my favorite activities are being outdoors with my friends, golfing, as well as playing some video games when I have a chance! I am so enthused to be able to serve Illinois FBLA this year and cannot wait to help make a difference this year!
